This hotel is situated at Weld Quay, Georgetown. This hotel is a unique blend of the old and new design elements. The 7-storey new hotel building is fronted by a 3 storey conservation building with rich history artefacts dating back to the last century.

With the Unesco's conferring of world heritage town status for Georgetown, Penang in July 2007, the original 12-storey hotel development was put on hold, scaled down and re-designed to comply with the local authority height control, as part of the key criteria of the Unesco heritage listing for Georgetown, Penang.

The new hotel design language emphasized on the common streetscape of the Georgetown area; seeking to merge and blend in with its surrounding neighbours, rather than the previous design approach of a towering block with a lofty vantage point. The hotel is now in operation since March 2014 and our client could not be happier with the final outcome of this project; although the commercial viability of this project was in question not too long ago in 2007.
