The Royal Teluk Rubiah Country Club chalets are located at Teluk Rubiah in the district of Manjung, Perak. The chalets are part of an extensive recreational project that is earmarked for the area which includes a 18-hole golf course, driving rangeand eventually an equestrian park, resort hotel and water sport recreational facilities.
The design for the chalets was inspired by the tropical and vernacular Malay architecture. The main design features for the chalets are the wide roof overhang, spacious verandah and multi-tiered high-pitched roof.
The chalets are also built on stilts as commonly found in the design of the traditional Malay house. Timber is used predominantly for the structure and also as building finishes. The chalet design also incorporated traditional Malay architecture features such 'buah butong bendol' and 'tumpu kasau'(decorative fascia boards).
